Training overview

We run dementia training for organisations that want to improve the skills and knowledge of their staff in supporting people with dementia.

Most of the dementia training courses we run are bespoke – created to address the specific needs of commissioning organisations. Our courses are good value for money and we offer flexibility in the length and scheduling of training, at a venue of your choice, to facilitate maximum attendance.

We make a real difference to staff attitudes and practices by helping people understand the perspective of the person with dementia. Staff develop more confidence, insight, motivation and job satisfaction. This raises standards, increase effectiveness and develops a person-centred culture – bringing positive outcomes for people with dementia.

Accredited training

If you want your staff to gain nationally recognised qualifications and/or certificates of achievement, we can provide accredited training courses approved and quality-assured by OCN London, a national awarding body regulated by Ofqual.

All our accredited courses are mapped to the Skills for Health / Skills for Care Dementia Core Skills Education and Training Framework and cover topics identified by the Qualifications and Curriculum Framework (QCF) dementia units.

  • “Buz is a role model for person-centred practice; this approach pervades not only the content but the delivery of her training. Dementia Care – indeed Social Care more generally – needs more of the ‘Buz effect’ to motivate and inspire!”
