We design and deliver tailor-made dementia training in order to match the needs of the commissioning organisation, its staff and service users.Our training is practical and realistic, relating directly to the day to day roles of participants and focusing on what is feasible given the time and resources available.
We offer both short dementia training workshops and longer, in-depth courses, according to the needs of participants. We offer flexibility in the scheduling of training, at a venue of your choice, to facilitate maximum attendance.
We are experienced in designing dementia training that is accessible to people of all learning abilities and educational levels.
Guided by national standards
We offer training (including accredited training) that addresses the required knowledge, understanding and skills for the new QCF dementia units. Our accredited courses include 'Person-Centred Dementia Care Knowledge and Practice' (at level 2 and level 3), the Dementia Care Leadership Programme (for managers of care services) and the highly acclaimed 'Dementia Care Trainers' Programme' (Level 3), for staff intending to be in-house dementia trainers.Training content
Our dementia training is designed to raise awareness and understanding, to improve skills, to increase insight into the needs of people with dementia, and to promote a positive, person-centred approach towards their care.
